Post subject: Help and Support Center no longer works
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>configuration_manage (more info?)
Help and Support no longer opens when I click the link, neither does the
shortcut to System Information. This happened after installing HPs update for
the HS center (I have a Pavilion laptop and run XP Media Center 2005). Their
support team has no solution. I have uninstalled og reinstalled the update in
safe mode, tried System restore, made a new user profile to see if it works
there, checked that all the files are present in
Windows/pchealth/helpctr/binaries, tried reinstalling the helpctr.exe file,
checked in System Management that Helpctr is set to Automatic and Running.
Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

Ouch. Try contacting the free support at HP and see what they say; it might
be a known issue. There are also MS articles in the MS Knowledge Base about
how to restore Help and Support; try searching for them on the MS site.
